Network Documentation
Good network documentation is essential to system recovery in the event of a disaster, and it also helps technicians diagnose and solve issues faster. A well documented network is vital to planning and utilizing a business growth strategy. It helps nontechnical people perform inventory and aids in the planning stages of new infrastructure.
Alliance Technologies maintains a technical writing staff to help you document all aspects of your network, from complex virtual servers to individual desktops. We also offer software documentation. Our experienced staff will work with your managers and on-site technical staff to determine the best documentation strategy for your business. Our documentation will help you not only recover in the event of a disaster; it will also help you plan for the future.

We’re happy to provide samples of our work to help you determine if we can meet your needs. We have both standard documentation templates and the ability to do custom work based on what you want written. Our documents can take multiple forms, from a print manual to an online website or knowledge base.
In order to meet your documentation needs, we follow a three step process:
Consultation
Our staff will meet with your on-site engineers and managers to determine what you want out of documentation. Our documentation ranges from skeletal to exhaustive, and during this first consultation our staff will work with you to determine your specific needs.
Demonstration
Once the consultation is complete, our staff can create a quick demo on a small portion of the overall scope of the project and present it to you. This step isn’t always needed, but for a large project it’s usually best to demo so we can be sure we understand your needs and expectations. Once you’ve approved the format and depth, our staff will begin the project
Implementation
Our staff will draft the complete project, creating documentation to fit your specific needs. After this stage is complete, we will work with you to help you develop strategies to maintain your documentation to ensure it remains a quality resource for you in the future.
