Alliance Technologies Acquires Emineo Group
Des Moines, Iowa – (Jan. 2, 2013) – Alliance Technologies is pleased to announce the acquisition of Emineo Group, an Information Technology (IT) solutions provider and value added reseller (VAR) providing cloud computing and virtual desktop solutions based in Omaha, NE. Emineo’s employees will continue to operate from their current location, serving more than 70 active small, medium, and enterprise-sized clients in the Omaha area.
“Together we are building a stronger company with significant benefits, offering a wide array of IT products and services that complement each other well,” said Randy Barger, President of Emineo. “Combining the companies provides an unrivaled mix of technology solutions and expertise, and offers additional resources for customer service and support operations.”
Since its inception in 2007, Emineo has focused on providing Citrix and Microsoft solutions, and has added VMware and Storage Area Networks (SAN) technologies to its primary product portfolio. Additionally, Emineo is a Gold Level Partner with Citrix and a Premier Level Partner with Dell. Officials at both organizations believe the mix of experienced technical staff and common product offerings will make the integration of the operations seamless.
“Our acquisition of Emineo Group reflects our conscious effort to build a full-service IT firm that our customers can depend on for their business technology solutions,” said Steve Sikkink, President of Alliance Technologies. “Although this is an acquisition, we see it as a partnership between two companies. We are pleased that Randy and his team will continue to be available to help serve customers in the future.”
The new areas of expertise and services that Alliance Technologies brings to the partnership include: software and web development; telephone systems/Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)/ShoreTel; hosting/data center; staffing IT consultants; wireless and advanced networking skills; 24/7 help desk support; and electronic medical records (EMR)/healthcare expertise. Emineo will also use Alliance Technologies’ sales support team, enabling their sales staff to focus more time on customer relationships.
Emineo will strengthen Alliance Technologies’ knowledge and offerings related to Citrix and virtualization technologies. Additionally, the acquisition provides growth opportunities and geographic expansion for Alliance Technologies, establishing them as a Midwest provider with a presence in Iowa, Nebraska, and Minnesota.
