Alliance Technologies Honored by Technology Association of Iowa with Prestigious Prometheus Award
Des Moines, IA – (Mar. 5, 2009) – Alliance Technologies, a Des Moines-based full-service information technology solutions firm, took home the award for Environmental Excellence, Products and Services at the 2009 Prometheus Awards, Iowa’s most prestigious technology industry awards presented by the Technology Association of Iowa.
Events that helped Alliance become a main contender for the Environmental Excellence award included:
- Launch in 2008 of Alliance Technologies’ Enterprise Architecture Group’s ‘Green’ Technology Initiative, which specializes in virtualization storage and application delivery to help companies reduce energy consumption and reduce investments in underused IT equipment.
- A feature on WHO-TV’s ‘Renew Iowa’ series last summer. The segment featured Alliance Technologies success implementing a virtualized environment at Merit Resources.
