Alliance Technologies Selected as Finalist for 2010 Prometheus Awards

Alliance is a Final Contender Among Top Iowa Companies for Clean Technology Company of the Year Award

Alliance Technologies, a leading provider of full-service information technology solutions, was chosen as a finalist for the fifth annual Prometheus Awards, Iowa’s Academy Awards of the technology industry. Alliance has earned a nomination for Clean Technology Company of the Year for their efforts in offering green-friendly services to the community. This includes a cloud computing solution allowing businesses to host their applications, data and backups on virtual servers.

This is the third year in a row Alliance Technologies has been among the finalists for the prestigious Prometheus Awards. Last year, Alliance took home the award for Environmental Excellence, Products and Services Category for their success in virtualization services. In 2008, Alliance was named IT Service Provider of the Year, and in 2007 was a finalist for two categories: IT Service Provider of the Year and CEO of the Year.

The Prometheus Awards were created by the Technology Association of Iowa (TAI) to celebrate the innovation and high-tech excellence in Iowa. This showcase honors companies and individuals who represent the best and brightest in technology and business, and have demonstrated outstanding leadership and innovation. The winners of the 2010 awards will be announced April 6 at the Prairie Meadows Conference and Events Center in Altoona.

“Alliance Technologies invested significant capital in our cloud computing architecture, which has helped launch us to the forefront of environmentally conscious technology solution providers,” said Mike Lang, CEO of Alliance Technologies. “It’s great to be recognized by this prestigious award for the impact our customers and company is making in supporting green technology initiatives for Iowa.”
