Vince’s Tech Tips - Quick Install Maker, Application Deployment

Vince Meek, one of our professional Network Engineers here at Alliance Technologies, offers some friendly tech tips to help your IT Department and general users alike.

Tech Tip 1:

The Quick Install Maker will bundle up an existing installation source directory into a self-extracting executable. This simply means that it creates a .zip file that will automatically extract its contents to a specified location. You can also specify the setup file to call with any parameters necessary to run a silent installation including .cmd and .bat files. Once this process is complete you will have a single file installer that can easily be deployed.

See: http://www.installsolutions.net/FreewareOverview.aspx for the free program.
